They are seeking a self-motivated Electronic Systems Security Technician to perform installation, preventative maintenance, and corrective action support of electronic security systems for federal clients.

Responsibilities

Perform work on Access Controls, including card readers, electronic or wireless locks, and card, biometric, and fingerprint devices, among others

Perform work on Intrusion Systems and Prevention Systems, to include perimeter controls

Perform work on Video Management Systems, to include Bosch, Milestone, Axis

Terminates and dismantles devices and reconstructs equipment as required

Erects safety signage in appropriate areas

Use ladders to safely access ceiling crawl spaces and attics, pulling wires, hooking up routes, etc

Cleans up installation debris and maintains an orderly workspace

Analyzes blueprints and building plans to confirm proper placement of wiring, conduit, and intended overall connection plan on a room-by-room and floor-by-floor basis

Performs system testing and signal verification

Assist with teammate troubleshooting needs virtually or by phone, as needed

Assess tools, inventory, and material needs for replacement and order, as needed

Meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction

Maintain a high level of professionalism, in appearance and communication with the public and federal/local community members

Maintain, enter, and process expenses in Company system by established deadlines

Drives company vehicles

Perform other duties as required

Qualification

Required

18+ years of age

High School Diploma or equivalent

3+ years of directly relevant experience in security systems installation

Experience with access control systems and intrusion detection systems

Working knowledge of ESS platform experience in Software House C•CURE 9000, Bosch Video Management System, and Bosch Intrusion System

Ability to obtain a Software House C•CURE 9000 Certification within 90-days of hire (company provided coursework fees and testing)

Ability to read blueprints and building plans

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time

Ability to effectively communicate with managers and coworkers in English

Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License

Active Top-Secret Clearance

Must possess and maintain an active and valid DC driver's license without restrictions

Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen

Comply with company drug and alcohol policy

Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date

Preferred

Certification in CCURE 9000, Hirsch / Identiv, Lenel, Bosch Video Management System, Honeywell Vindicator, or other ESS (Electronic Security Systems)

Experience with Video Management Systems(BVMS, Milestone, AXIS)

Ability to program devices

Experience working on federal, military, or government contracts

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
