Responsibilities
Assist the current Manager with day-to-day oversight of surplus lines staff
Oversee daily responsibilities of Surplus Lines staff; ensure they are completed timely and in accordance with our standard operating procedures
Provides recommendations for promotions and/or corrective action plans for surplus lines staff
Efficiently manage and coordinate the work of the assigned area
Schedule and hold weekly one on one’s with surplus lines staff
Direct and monitor the daily workflow of the filing processes and activities
Provides agency partners with hands-on, one-on-one guidance and assistance with tax filing questions and reporting requirements
Maintains day-to-day regulatory documents in an organized and timely fashion at the direction of the team
Assists in the development and implementation of team processes ensuring state regulations and guidelines are adhered to
Resolves non-routine problems as required

Required
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required
Must possess strong computing skills, including Microsoft Office and, specifically, Excel
Must be able to work independently after given instructions and guidance and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members
Must have a high level of problem-solving capacity
Must be self-motivated and driven
Must communicate effectively – both in writing and orally
Must be willing and able to work overtime, particularly between January and April
At least one-year experience in a regulatory, compliance, or audit environment required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, but equitable work experience will be accepted
At least one year of experience in a leadership role is preferred
