Network Operations Center Infrastructure Engineer Senior- Principal

Responsibilities
Set up and configure transport network technologies, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
Manage and maintain various transport networks, including Fiber Optic Cable, DWDM, Ciena, Nokia, Ribbon, Icons, Microwave (Aviat), and P25 radio systems, ensuring they operate efficiently
Analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues and projects, implementing effective solutions to restore service and improve functionality
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide ongoing support and ensure continuous network operations
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate transport network solutions seamlessly, enhancing overall system performance
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and operational procedures, facilitating knowledge sharing and consistency
Regularly monitor network performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to optimize network efficiency
Assist in planning and executing upgrades and expansions of the network infrastructure to accommodate growth and evolving technology needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required
5 years of relevant work experience is required for Infrastructure Engineer Senior (SG7)
7 years of relevant work experience is required for Infrastructure Engineer (SG8)
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered
Preferred
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITIL platforms is advantageous
Experience with transport networks, including Fiber Optic (ADSS and OPGW), DWDM, Ciena, Nokia, Ribbon, ICON, and Microwave (Aviat), as well as network monitoring and management tools like MCP & Provision
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Capable of working independently with minimal direct supervision
Possession of CCNA or equivalent certification from a transport network vendor
