Assistant Controller
inDrive is a highly-regarded high-tech unicorn company redefining ride-hailing and expanding into new business verticals. The Assistant Controller will support the Global Corporate Controller in managing global accounting operations and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards across multiple international entities.

Responsibilities
Support the Corporate Controller in managing day-to-day global accounting operations, including ensuring general ledger accuracy, payment systems oversight, payroll oversight, and intercompany transactions
Manage month-, quarter and year-end close activities for international subsidiaries, and ensure alignment between US GAAP and local statutory reporting, and oversee compliance with local statutory accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
Ensure timely, complete and accurate monthly, quarterly, annual financial reporting under US GAAP, including balance sheet reconciliations, income statement reviews, and global consolidations
Partner with external auditors to maintain full compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions; ensure timely and accurate statutory audits and filings in all operating countries
Strengthen and scale internal controls that align with US GAAP and local statutory frameworks, and implement and optimize systems to support inDrive’s ongoing global growth
Oversee the performance of international controllers, providing guidance, coaching, and development to build high-performing teams globally
Coordinate with the Shared Service Accounting Center, outsourced finance partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting activities, including leading the transition of activities from outsourced partners to the inDrive Shared Service Center in India, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and operational continuity
Lead initiatives to reduce the number of days to close and address risk through enhanced operational efficiency, automation through systems, development of consistent and effective processes, and standardization in the global close and consolidation processes
Collaborate with FP&A, reporting, tax and treasury teams to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and variance analysis, support forecast-to-actual reporting, support global tax planning, cash forecasting, and other strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
8+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Tax, including at least 3 years in a senior accounting leadership role (Assistant Controller or similar)
Demonstrated experience leading global accounting teams and managing multi-entity international close processes
CPA is required
Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, including leases, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, consolidation, foreign currency, and intercompany accounting
Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and self-driven, with a strong commitment to process improvement and scalable financial operations; a builder and change-agent who is comfortable with ambiguity
Preferred
Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in NetSuite strongly preferred
