Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable department and managing 1-2 AR/Credit associates
Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, identifying and addressing overdue accounts
Maintain customer balances clean of deductions and past due invoices
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve disputes
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding credit and collections
Prepare and present regular reports on outstanding receivables, and department performance to senior management
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, warehouse and logistics
Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the accounts receivable team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Computer savvy - using AI, Excel and QB
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
