Responsibilities
Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements prepared by the accounting team
Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation
Oversee AP, AR, revenue recognition, accruals, and general ledger integrity
Serve as the primary NetSuite administrator and subject matter expert, ensuring system accuracy and scalability
Build, optimize, and maintain workflows, approvals, roles, permissions, and automations
Partner with FP&A, operations, and engineering to integrate NetSuite with other systems
Develop custom reports, dashboards, and saved searches to support business insights
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two accountants
Review work, set priorities, and ensure high-quality output
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements
Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and automate manual workflows
Lead or support special projects, including system enhancements, new product launches, and process redesigns
Drive continuous improvement across the accounting function
Qualification
Required
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Expert-level NetSuite experience — administration, workflow design, reporting, and optimization
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Advanced Excel skills
Preferred
Experience in fintech, SaaS, lending, or other technology-driven environments preferred
CPA (active or inactive) — strongly preferred and highly valued
Experience in a high-growth or PE-backed environment
Prior experience improving accounting systems and processes
