Inmate Transfer Coordinator
The N.C. Department of Information Technology is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives through the care and supervision of adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. The Inmate Transfer Coordinator will coordinate the transfer and movement of offenders in and out of the diagnostic processing facility, ensuring accurate records and communication with relevant authorities.

Responsibilities
Coordinating the transfer/movement of offenders in/out of the diagnostic processing facility
Scheduling offenders for transfer on the regular transfer schedule as well as all special transfer schedules
Monitoring and assisting with parole releases and data entry into the OPUS records system
Monitoring offender files for accuracy; maintaining records of all offenders housed at the facility daily
Assembling and verifying commitments and writs within the system
Maintaining daily count reports and the transfer in/out records
Preparing required documents for offender transfers/releases
Communicating regularly with DAC Population Management to ensure the efficient transfer of offenders and tracking all offender movement
Scheduling offenders for transportation to outside court appearances and appointments
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of rules, regulation and policies relating to offender custody and treatment
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Documented knowledge in computer skills using Microsoft Office
