Machinist II - Weekend 1st Shift
Whitcraft Group is a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, committed to operational improvement and customer service. The Machinist II position involves performing all aspects necessary for machining processes in manufacturing components, including operating machines and ensuring quality control.

Responsibilities
Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets
Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required
Loads and deletes programs in the computer
Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine
Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)
Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions
Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained
Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function
Maintains a neat and orderly work area
Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions
Assists with related training of other employees as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations
Preferred
Working knowledge of the machinability of metals, with a good mechanical aptitude
Knowledge and ability to use machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry
