Grand Canyon University is one of Arizona’s leading institutions of higher learning. They are seeking an Athletics Broadcast Engineer responsible for all university athletics broadcast and livestreaming events, including monitoring and maintaining the necessary equipment.

Education

Responsibilities

Setup, configuration, and operation of all Broadcast or Streaming equipment necessary for any Athletics Broadcast that takes place on campus

Troubleshooting and quick decision making on equipment used and configuration to ensure broadcast will commence without sacrificing quality

Act as a liaison for outside athletics broadcast entities and ensure their needs are met to complete broadcast efforts

Repair and Maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure full functionality. This includes regular maintenance and inventory tracking of equipment

Provide recommendations on new equipment, processes, and standards to improve the live broadcast efforts

Work closely with producers, directors, camera operators, and IT staff to deliver transmission of reliable broadcasts

Create and submit tech books to broadcast partner for each live event when applicable

Working knowledge and understanding of workflow for sports-related broadcasts

Requires working nights, weekends, and holidays and in-person presence on game days

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent broadcast experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience with live broadcast or video streaming

Minimum of 5 years of technical troubleshooting experience

Must be able to pass preemployment background investigations
