Atlantic Group is seeking a Controller for their client's growing credit platform in New York, NY. In this hybrid role, you will oversee accounting and reporting functions for direct lending and BDC entities, ensuring accurate financial oversight and compliance.

Responsibilities

Financial Oversight: Manage general ledger, entity-level accounting, and financial statement preparation for credit and BDC portfolios
NAV & Valuation: Review NAV packages with administrators and support monthly pricing and quarterly valuation processes
SEC & Board Reporting: Draft 10-Qs, 10-Ks, shelf registrations, and BDC board reporting packages
Audit & Compliance: Lead audit deliverables, maintain SOX narratives, and address external audit inquiries
Capital & Cash Activity: Process capital calls, distributions, AP, and cash reconciliations with accuracy
Process Enhancement: Improve reporting tools, respond to investor queries, and support special projects and new initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
CPA required
10+ years of public or private accounting experience with a strong focus on private credit, BDCs, direct lending entities, and fund accounting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems, with preferred experience in general ledger and investment accounting platforms
Strong understanding of fund accounting, SEC reporting, valuation principles, and credit fund structures
Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
