System Design Engineer I

Kaeser Compressors USA is the fastest growing and most successful compressor company in the U.S., and they are seeking a System Design Engineer to join their team in Fredericksburg, VA. This role involves designing compressed air systems, conducting energy audits, and developing new products based on customer requirements.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Generating compressed air energy audits based on field-submitted data
Designing compressor stations to meet customers’ specifications. This includes performing energy analyses, and creating P&I diagrams, CAD layouts, and electrical diagrams
Designing new products, and developing / modifying existing Kaeser products based on market needs and customer requirements

Qualification

BS in EngineeringFluidsThermodynamics3D Modeling / CADData AnalysisCommunication SkillsProject ManagementTechnical Writing

Required

BS in Engineering or comparable degree, with strong background in fluids and thermodynamics
Good communication skills / phone skills

Preferred

Proficiency in G-Suite and 3D Modeling / CAD experience
Ability to proficiently write and/or edit technical documents
General technical and business experience to include data analysis and project management skills
Goal-oriented focus, with motivation to grow long-term within the team
