Associate Director, Patient Access

Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for patients and providers in your assigned territory
Manage patient enrollment into the support program, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Conduct benefit verifications, prior authorization follow-up, and patient financial eligibility assessments
Coordinate with specialty and free goods pharmacies, as well as injection training partners
Monitor patient cases to ensure timely reimbursement and assistance renewals
Record and report Adverse Events and Product Complaints as required
Communicate program offerings, policies, and resources effectively to provider offices
Visit customers in the field to educate and troubleshoot reimbursement challenges
Stay current with compliance, OIG guidance, and patient services regulations
Analyze program data to identify service improvements and meet key performance indicators
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, trade, distribution, market access) and external partners (specialty pharmacies, vendors)

Required

Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' equivalent experience in Patient Support Services
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Experience using CRMs to track patient journeys from enrollment to ongoing access
Understanding of US legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Proven cross-functional collaboration skills within pharma or biotech environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

Preferred

US product launch experience (rare disease experience highly desirable)
Direct interaction with top US specialty pharmacies and payers
