Human Resources Assistant
The Town of Barnstable is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Assistant. This role involves recordkeeping, auditing, research, and administrative work in support of the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities
Perform recordkeeping, auditing, research, and administrative work in support of the Human Resources Department
Prepare and maintain detailed and confidential records and reports
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Use computers including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of human resources administration
Ability to prepare and maintain detailed and confidential records and reports
Proficiency in the use of computers including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High school diploma with supplemental courses in business or related field required
Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of this position will be considered
Quick thinking and problem solving skills
Passion for public service
Preferred
Some knowledge of municipal government and the operation of Town Departments
Familiarity with HR software such as MUNIS
Associate's degree in business or related field preferred
