Responsibilities

Maintain and update the company’s Enersight models as part of a team. Team supporting TBD
Participate in the development of annual budgets, mid-year updates, and long-range planning processes
Conduct scenario analysis to identify potential risks and uncertainties affecting project schedules and assist in developing mitigation and contingency plans
Develop a strong understanding of economic and operational drivers for each asset to support optimization scenarios
Review and validate model inputs and outputs for accuracy
Apply complex financial models to support investment decisions and capital allocation scenario comparisons
Collaborate with finance team members to perform scenario and sensitivity analysis, incorporating operational KPIs and corporate reserves data
Support Business Development teams by integrating M&A and divestiture models into the portfolio
Assist in the monthly reforecast process using the Master Operations schedule and operational updates
Analyze and report on KPIs, financial results, and variance analysis by month and quarter
Track key metrics, analyze forecasting accuracy, and help integrate findings into the monthly reforecast
Contribute to quarterly portfolio analysis, look-forwards, and look-backs to guide future investment decisions and identify lessons learned
Support quarterly guidance, reconciliation, earnings guidance, and preparation of documentation for Investor Relations
Work closely with Asset, Operations, Investor Relations, Marketing, and Finance/Accounting teams to ensure business impacts are accurately accounted for
Advance data analysis skills within the team and help deploy new technologies (including AI) to improve processes
Utilize and extract data from sources such as data warehouses, Denodo tables, and SQL Server
Prepare and update presentations and materials for teams and executive management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering required or prior strong experience in planning roles with a focus on Enersight modeling
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in engineering and planning roles within the oil and gas industry, preferably in the upstream sector
Experience supporting budgeting and strategic planning processes
Asset and operations background with experience in a multi-disciplinary team, including exposure to horizontal drilling, hydraulic fracturing, and production operations
Strong understanding of engineering economic evaluations and financial modeling
Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office, Aries, Spotfire, Alteryx, Power BI, ComboCurve, SQL Server, and Wellview
Excellent research, quantitative, and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make sound judgments
Strong project management skills and ability to advance multiple projects simultaneously
Effective written, verbal, and formal presentation communication
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to manage overlapping tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience with planning software such as Enersight preferred; experience with DSO Upstream or Omnirai is a plus
SQL, Python, or other coding experience is a plus
Experience with financial systems like SAP, Oracle EPM Cloud, Finance Cube, and Denodo tables is a plus
Experience integrating or utilizing AI in workflow processes is a plus
