Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
Build and optimize data architectures for data warehousing, analytics, and reporting
Work with structured and unstructured datasets across multiple source systems
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to support data needs
Develop and manage data ingestion processes from APIs, databases, and streaming platforms
Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring processes
Optimize SQL queries and database performance for large-scale environments
Ensure data security, governance, and compliance best practices are followed
Document data flows, models, and technical processes
Qualification
Required
4–5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
Strong proficiency in SQL and database development
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Glue, Dataflow, etc.)
Experience with Python or Scala for data engineering workflows
Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) — especially data services
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, OLAP/OLTP)
Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, EMR, or similar
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in remote teams
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder / Permanent Resident
Preferred
Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, or Azure SQL DW
Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or other streaming technologies
Experience working with Data Lakes and Lakehouse architectures
Exposure to machine learning data pipelines
Knowledge of Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar orchestration tools
Background in data governance, security, or metadata management
