Senior Apparel Designer

Responsibilities
Own the full design lifecycle for assigned apparel categories—from seasonal concept and design direction through final, production-ready designs
Translate brand strategy, trend insights, and customer needs into compelling, commercially viable apparel
Design with a strong understanding of organic cotton materials, knit structures, and fabric capabilities to ensure quality, consistency, and feasibility
Ensure designs align with Pact’s sustainability standards, fit expectations, and cost targets
Partner closely with the Print team to conceptualize and develop all-over prints, engineered graphics, and repeat patterns
Translate artwork into production-ready applications, considering scale, placement, color, knit construction, and repeat accuracy
Contribute to the evolution of Pact’s print language and seasonal storytelling across categories
Manage and mentor one Technical Designer, fostering clear communication, accountability, and professional growth
Partner closely with Technical Design to ensure design intent, fit, and construction are executed accurately throughout development
Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, and Production to align on timelines, cost, and execution
Manage multiple styles and categories simultaneously, adapting quickly to shifting priorities
Participate in fittings, reviews, and key development milestones to maintain design integrity through production
Maintain organized and accurate design documentation, including sketches, specs, print callouts, and seasonal decks
Identify opportunities to improve design workflows, processes, and product outcomes
Qualification
Required
7+ years of apparel design experience, preferably within a DTC or fast-paced consumer brand
Demonstrated experience designing across women's and men's apparel, including intimates, dresses, and core knit programs
Strong background in essentials, underwear, or tee programs
Proven experience developing all-over prints, engineered graphics, and repeat patterns in collaboration with print teams
Working knowledge of sustainable materials, particularly GOTS-certified organic cotton
Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and production processes
Ability to balance creative vision with commercial and operational realities
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and PLM systems
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy and efficiency

Collaborative partner who works effectively with cross-functional teams, remote colleagues, and international factory partners
