Instructor of the Practice in Animation
Utah Tech University is inviting applications for a full-time professional-track faculty position in the Department of Art, focusing on animation and film. Responsibilities
Teach 30 credits of courses in art, animation, film production, and film history each academic year
Perform defined campus-wide duties including holding office hours, attending department, college, and division faculty meetings, and adhering to University policy and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master of Fine Arts degree in animation or a related field, or equivalent industry experience with animation, film production, and sequential art in a production environment
Experience mentoring in the animation and film disciplines
Expertise in hand-drawn, digital, 2D animation with a strong portfolio
Ability to use software and other essential tasks
Superior communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interactions with students, fellow art faculty, and the general public
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
