Responsibilities

Lead the definition and deployment of incremental systems engineering features (e.g., essential characteristics, accessories, alarms) within the SEALM environment, specifically Jama Connect
Gather and synthesize stakeholder inputs and best-practice implementations across multiple product teams
Define and document standard work proposals, including:
Process definitions
Training materials
Proposed tool configurations
Formal change requests
Reference and align work with applicable GE HealthCare internal standards, work instructions, and relevant external standards
Identify and engage 'corner case' user groups to validate standard work proposals and define a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
Communicate new standards and processes to the broader user community
Triage user feedback into:
Must-fix items gating adoption
Productivity improvements for future planning
Nice-to-have items where migration to standard work is expected
Submit and shepherd formal change requests through implementation and deployment
Develop clear summaries explaining enforcement of standard work versus acceptable local tailoring
Create, deploy, and maintain training materials for each feature
Monitor post-deployment enhancement requests and lead iterative improvement cycles
Collaborate with the SEALM Design Lead to identify clusters of related features and document how they work together
Partner with design teams to understand and implement country-specific requirements (languages, regulations) within SEALM tools

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a closely related field
Minimum 7 years of systems engineering experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working with ALM tools (e.g., Jama Connect, IBM DOORS)
Minimum 3 years of product development experience in design engineering
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional, global project teams
Familiarity with industry design, regulatory, and safety standards

Preferred

Master of Science degree in Engineering or a closely related field
10+ years of experience in design and product development of medical devices
Strong knowledge of medical device regulatory and safety standards, including ISO, FDA, and IEC 60601 series
Experience collaborating with external organizations and university partners
Ability to interpret complex technical information and clearly explain key concepts
Demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and teach systems engineering principles
