They are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their Software Development Team, where the role involves learning fundamental development practices and contributing to team projects under close mentorship.

Responsibilities

Write clean, maintainable code in Java and JavaScript under supervision

Participate in code reviews and implement feedback from senior team members

Create and update basic documentation in Confluence

Track assigned tasks and update status in Jira

Submit merge requests following established team guidelines

Learn GitLab workflows and version control best practices

Assist with debugging and fixing minor bugs

Participate in team meetings and agile ceremonies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Internship experience in software development

Basic understanding of Java programming fundamentals

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and at least one JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js)

Understanding of version control concepts (Git)

Exposure to agile development methodologies

Basic understanding of database concepts

Strong desire to learn and grow in software development

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Language: English

Must be able to pass a full CJIS compliant fingerprint based background check
