Responsibilities
Providing quality teaching for assigned courses
Clear course objectives, prepared and relevant class activities, effective and understandable presentations of learning materials, fair and understandable grading practices, timely responses to students, and a positive atmosphere in the classroom
Providing office hours for students as prescribed by the department chair and providing grading feedback to students in a timely manner and turn in grades by departmental and university deadlines
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Regular on-campus availability and in-person teaching are essential functions and required for faculty members
Qualification
Required
A master's degree in a relevant field
Evidence of high-quality instruction/training (e.g., guest speaker, keynote speaker, workshop leader)
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty
Ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Regular on-campus availability and in-person teaching are essential functions and required for faculty members
Preferred
Previous face-to-face teaching experience in higher education (i.e., official instructor of record)
