Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Engineering, Permitting, and Production departments
Drive timely engineering plan production and fast, high-quality permit acquisition
Oversee job turnovers and ensure seamless handoff from Sales to Field Teams
Manage client communication throughout the life of each project
Supervise a multidisciplinary team: Engineers, Drafters, Expediters, Foremen, Supervisors
Use Alpha’s internal systems (Job Scheduling Sheets, Budget Control Forms, OnTrack!, etc.) to monitor and improve performance
Conduct regular field visits and maintain high safety, quality, and workmanship standards
Monitor and report on key KPIs: plan submission rates, permit acquisition, construction income, and budget performance
Oversee personnel performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions in coordination with HR
Ensure tools, fleet vehicles, and equipment are properly tracked, maintained, and optimized
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 7 years in the field (carpentry, framing, or concrete)
Successful track record in leadership roles: Foreman, Supervisor, Project Manager
Prior experience in architectural or structural design
Strong understanding of construction management tools, reporting, and production systems
Proficient in reading structural and architectural plans
Able to manage large teams across multiple departments with clarity and authority
Excellent communicator with high standards and a commitment to accountability
