Sales Manager
Russell Tobin is a high-growth financial advisory startup backed by a private equity firm, and they are seeking a Sales Manager to lead and develop their on-site sales team. This role focuses on coaching and team development rather than individual sales contributions, managing a team of 5+ salespeople and implementing scalable processes to create a high-performing culture.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a growing 5+ person sales team
Run daily standups, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
Implement scalable processes, KPIs, SOPs, and accountability systems
Ensure activity levels are met (calls, meetings, follow-ups, pipeline hygiene)
Train dialers to become consistent appointment-setters
Improve forecasting accuracy, follow-up consistency, and workflow efficiency
Partner with leadership to build the sales playbook as the team scales from 5 to 50
Qualification
Required
2–3+ years of experience managing a 5+ person sales team
Background in financial services (specific product experience not required; full training provided)
A coaching-first leadership style—focused on development, not ego
Strong process orientation and experience building KPIs/structure
Ability to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable
Preferred
MAP (Management Action Programs) training or certification — huge plus
