Forward Deployed Engineer

In this hybrid role, you will serve as the primary technical bridge between Customer Success and Product Engineering teams, focusing on troubleshooting complex system issues and developing automation to improve support workflows.

Responsibilities
Serve as the frontline technical expert for Tier 3 escalations, spending significant time diagnosing and resolving real-time system issues and customer-reported bugs
Proactively identify manual support tasks and develop ad-hoc automation, scripts, or internal tools to reduce the operational burden on the Customer Success and Engineering teams
Lead the technical configuration of the ZSuite platform for high-value banking partners, ensuring seamless integration with their existing core systems and workflows
Collaborate directly with the Engineering and Product pods to translate customer-specific technical needs and recurring support issues into scalable platform enhancements
Write and maintain custom scripts and platform code to address immediate customer blockers or to provide 'band-aid' remediations while long-term fixes are prioritized
Utilize AI tools to accelerate the diagnosis of technical issues, automate the creation of support documentation, and provide faster strategic responses to customer inquiries
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in a highly technical, customer-facing role such as Support Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Account Management
Full-Stack Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of .NET Core and React; you must be comfortable reading, debugging, and writing code in a production environment
Polyglot Mindset: Ability to quickly pick up new tools, languages, and financial system protocols (e.g., ACH, core-banking APIs) to solve diverse customer problems
Operational 'Scrappiness': A proven track record of building ad-hoc automation or scripts and performing manual interventions to solve immediate problems and improve internal team efficiency
Growth Mindset & Startup DNA: Relentless curiosity and a desire to improve processes in an early-stage, fast-paced environment where manual tasks are candidates for automation
Communication Excellence: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical banking stakeholders while maintaining professional rigor with internal engineering teams
