Clean Energy Outreach Account Representative
EMC Insights is a boutique firm specializing in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and distributed generation consulting services. The Outreach Account Representative will be responsible for recruiting customers and contractors for energy efficiency programs, managing relationships, and achieving performance metrics in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities
Identify and recruit potential customers to participate in energy efficiency programs
Identify and recruit contractors to become approved trade allies and participate in the energy efficiency programs
Schedule and regularly attend meetings with prospective customers and contractors (mostly virtually, with some in person)
Maintain, manage, and report on the pipeline of customers and contractors who are interested in participating in energy efficiency programs
Help achieve monthly and annual key performance metrics
Provide weekly and monthly activities and progress reports
Participate and present in company and industry training or networking events to drive successful results to meet client needs
Support contractor training on an as-needed basis
Must be able to handle a wide variety of work in a fast-paced environment
Develop PowerPoint presentations
Prepare for and lead meetings virtually and in person during various events to promote utility energy efficiency programs
Coordinate with colleagues to ensure proper organization of files, paperwork, and data entry
Communicate professionally (oral and written) and promptly with customers, clients, contractors/trade allies, and the team
Domestic travel will be required in the New Jersey area (approximately up to 30% of the time with reliable transportation), particularly in southern New Jersey
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
BS or BA Degree – an Associate degree plus relevant experience will be considered
2 or more years of professional experience with sales, networking, marketing, or customer service
Familiarity with the energy efficiency industry, particularly commercial, industrial, and/or multifamily
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas in various working environments
Excellent presentation skills (virtual and in person)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases
Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and able to prioritize workload
Ability to travel in New Jersey as needed
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, marketing, or communications
At least 2 years of work experience with commercial utility programs, account management, technical sales, or business-to-business sales
Energy/project management certification (e.g., Certified Energy Manager, Project Management Certification)
