Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager to oversee a school district's financial operations. The role involves leading financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance efforts to support the organization’s growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the district's annual budget for funds

Prepare and submit accurate financial reports

Oversee daily financial operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, investments and purchasing

Provide fiscal guidance to the Superintendent

Required

Strong background in financial management

Knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, IFRS, and IAS

Experience in both corporate and non-profit sectors

Ability to lead financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance efforts

Knowledge of school district operations

Knowledge of federal and state educational legislation

Knowledge of fund accounting

Knowledge of Illinois School Code

Bachelors degree in Finance or a related field

Preferred

5+ years of experience in finance

Masters degree in Finance preferred but not needed

Chief School Business Official (CSBO) preferred but not needed
