Tax Compliance Administrator

Responsibilities

Develop institution-wide tax compliance policies
Maintain relevant data and reporting
Serve as the subject matter expert on higher education tax compliance issues
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Communicate risk and remediation strategies to university leadership
Create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
Education and/or professional experience in accounting, legal, regulatory, compliance, or public sector environments
Experience and understanding of laws and regulations affecting institutional-level activities
Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures
Experience and proficiency in compliance data management and reporting
Experience in providing consultation and resolution for policy violations

Preferred

Experience in higher education or similar institutional settings
Familiarity with institutional risk management and remediation strategies
Experience in developing and delivering training programs
Experience with effectively communicating risk and remediation strategies to leadership
Experience with tax compliance software and tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial systems
Proof of Veteran Status
