Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level data integration solutions for the Correction Information Management System (CIMS) Data Warehouse/Data Lake on Microsoft Azure
Build robust ETL pipelines
Ensure data quality, security, performance
Enable efficient access to critical data to support mission-critical analytics and reporting
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in ETL development and data engineering
3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Cloud technologies including ADF, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Purview
Proven experience designing and optimizing large-scale ETL pipelines in high-performance and high-availability environments
Strong expertise in Spark, Python, and/or Scala for data transformations
Extensive SQL skills and experience working with complex data models
Solid understanding of data governance frameworks, security protocols, and role-based access control (RBAC) within Azure
Demonstrated ability to design efficient, secure, and compliant ETL solutions
Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Azure Fundamentals
Azure Databricks Data Engineer Associate certification
Preferred
Experience with data modeling and modern data warehousing architectures
