Wellness Activities Coordinator
Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc. is seeking a full-time Wellness Activities Coordinator to join their Wellness Services Program. The Coordinator will provide trauma-informed, non-clinical assistance services to adults, oversee program goals, and ensure confidentiality of participants while coordinating recreational and socialization activities.

Responsibilities
Develop and administer recreational and socialization activities and groups. Oversee and coordinate a timely implementation of the program goals via the activity and group schedules. The activities and groups include activities such as shopping/laundry outings, hiking, movies, social club outings, restaurant outings, large trips, etc
Provide an opportunity for all participants to choose personal goals and to acquire the skills needed to achieve the goals. Additionally, offer supports needed to make the goals a reality for program participants
Provide transportation for scheduled activities
Work with the Director of Wellness Services to meet department goals and objectives, both independently and as a team, and ensure and maintain the confidentiality of all agency program participants and department information
Provide support and resolve problems associated with the program schedule and activities
Assist with and conduct program evaluations and recommend appropriate changes. This includes summarizing program progress via outcomes and revising programs as needed to provide the maximum benefits to the greatest number of individuals possible with current resources
Establish and Maintain outreach opportunities within the community
Other duties and Wellness Team tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED and 3 years experience in human services
OR Associate degree in a Human Services field with 1-3 years' experience in human services
OR Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field
OR Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
OR Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist
OR OASAS Certified Peer Advocate
Ability to work as a team member and to handle crisis situations
A clean, valid NYS driver's license that will meet and maintain a satisfactory driving record consistent with agency and insurance standards and have been driving for at least 6 years
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations required by federal, state, or local law
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
