Account Executive
Ground Up International is a premier footwear manufacturer known for its innovative products and brand partnerships. They are seeking a motivated Retail Account Executive to support the growth of their sales organization by managing client relationships, assisting in sales support, and onboarding new retail partners.
Responsibilities
Assist senior account executives in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-up
Learn about client needs, preferences, and business objectives to provide personalized service and support
Assist in preparing sales proposals, presentations, and contracts for clients under the guidance of senior account executives
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products/services and resolution of client inquiries or issues
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of product offerings, including categories, seasonality, costing, and style assortments
Support all functions of sales and marketing operations, ensuring smooth execution across accounts
Assist in onboarding new retail partners and new brand programs, including account setup, item creation, and order flow
Manage and maintain open purchase orders (POs), open sales orders, and oversold reports
Create and maintain item setup, POs, and sales orders in internal systems
Submit, track, and maintain sales orders, including updates and revisions
Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities through market analysis, industry research, and networking
Assist in prospecting activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and scheduling meetings with prospective clients
Update and maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in CRM software
Assist in managing the sales pipeline, tracking leads, and prioritizing follow-up actions to move deals forward
Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats
Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify potential target markets and customer segments
Participate in sales training programs, workshops, and skill development activities to enhance sales techniques and knowledge
Seek feedback from senior team members and supervisors to continuously improve performance and effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
3-5 years of experience in sales, sales support, or account management within fashion or branded footwear
Experience supporting new brand launches or onboarding new retail accounts is a strong plus
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software
Preferred
Experience working with wholesale retail partners in footwear or fashion
Familiarity with retailer compliance, ticketing, and testing requirements
Experience supporting multiple brands or licensed programs
Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of sales and account management
Goal-oriented mindset with a desire to achieve targets and exceed expectations
Positive attitude, resilience, and willingness to take on new challenges
