R&D Engineering Intern - FORGE
Penn State University's Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is looking for enterprising students for a Summer 2026 engineering undergraduate internship in the FORGE program. Interns will conduct research and support engineering testing and data analysis to prepare for careers in national security.

Support for engineering testing, data analysis, and data display
Hands-on work in a laboratory environment
Use of multiple computing languages, analysis tools, simulations, measurements
Networking with program sponsors
Qualification
Required
Must be a rising senior graduating in May 2027
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must submit a cover letter and resume which includes GPA
Cover letter must address the technical disciplines within ARL you have interest and why
Students studying Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science and Mechanics, Material Science, and Computer Science are encouraged to apply
Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location
