Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and testing needs
Document and report defects clearly and concisely using appropriate tracking tools
Participate in team meetings to provide quality assurance perspectives
Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation and test cases
Analyze application behavior to identify potential issues and inconsistencies
Apply logical thinking to develop effective test scenarios and cases
Work with development team to reproduce and isolate bugs
Help troubleshoot basic to intermediate quality issues across applications
Leverage GenAI tools to help with automating some of the testing activities
Work under guidance of senior QA team members
Make testing decisions within defined test plans and procedures
Escalate complex defects or testing challenges appropriately
Prioritize testing activities based on sprint goals and release schedules

Required

Strong analytical skills to identify and investigate software issues, with the ability to apply logical problem-solving techniques to testing scenarios
Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, testing methodologies, and defect reporting processes
Demonstrate attention to detail when validating application functionality and communicating findings clearly to development teams
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
0-1 year of experience in software testing or quality assurance
Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail
Interest in learning testing tools, methodologies, and quality assurance best practices

Preferred

Basic understanding of testing methodologies (manual and automated)
Familiarity with defect tracking tools
Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for UI testing
Interest in or exposure to test automation concepts is a plus
Basic understanding of prompt engineering and GenAI concepts are a plus
Fundamental understanding of software testing lifecycle
Familiarity with agile testing practices and methodologies
Knowledge of different testing types (functional, regression, integration)
