HR Onboarding Specialist

Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities since 2012. They are hiring an HR Onboarding Specialist to coordinate and execute the administration of human resources programs, ensuring an excellent onboarding experience for employees and contractors while maintaining compliant records throughout their employment life cycle.

Responsibilities

Main point of contact for employees and contractors during onboarding
Manage collection of and track onboarding paperwork for employees and contractors as well as ongoing licensure and other documents necessary to maintain compliance with state and federal agencies
Respond to employee inquiries related to HR processes, policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records. Performs periodic audits and review of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
Processes employee status updates including but not limited to personal information changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments
Assist in programs and training related to retention and employee engagement
Assists HR leadership and regional HR teams with duties as needed
Maintain current knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management
Perform other comparable and related duties, as assigned

Required

1 to 3 years of Human Resources experience required
Experience interacting and engaging with candidates and employees
Key competencies to include Communication, both verbal and written, Attention to Detail, Organization, Time Management, Interpersonal skills, Critical Thinking and Teamwork
Excellent interpersonal skills – respectful and responsive
Ability to work effectively with others with tact and discretion and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality in all matters
Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and a sense of urgency with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to thrive while working under pressure
Displays a positive, optimistic, solution-minded attitude in all interactions with people
Team player with growth, development, and 'challenge accepted' mindset
Must be able to prioritize and plan work to use time efficiently. Focus on what matters most!
Ability to tackle high-value tasks, prioritize, and manage projects independently, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
