Responsibilities

Responds to service calls for repairing or installing various power, lighting, and HVAC needs in office spaces, broadcast studios, control rooms, and mission-critical data centers
Monitors and maintains electrical power distribution systems
Conducts preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on Emergency Generator plants and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems
Utilizes the Johnson Controls Metasys Building Management System (BMS) to monitor the condition of systems, troubleshoot issues, and make environmental adjustments as needed
Monitors and performs minor preventative maintenance (PM) on HVAC systems including: boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, RTUs (Rooftop Units), and split systems
Monitors Water-Cooled Chillers, Cooling Towers, and chilled water distribution
Addresses basic plumbing issues, leaks, and fixture repairs as required
Performs aesthetic maintenance, including light carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and door hardware issues
Maintains accurate and timely maintenance logs, ensuring all PM is completed on schedule
Conducts various weekly and monthly Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) inspections
Supports after-hours and weekend tasks on an overtime basis to ensure 24/7 operational readiness for broadcast demands

Required

Connecticut State Unlimited Electrical License (E-1 or E-2) is required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of the systems and equipment listed above, with a strong focus on electrical and mechanical systems
Proven ability to meet strict time frames and deliver high-quality work in environments with zero tolerance for failure (i.e., live broadcast/mission-critical facilities)
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at multiple organizational levels
Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office applications
Electrical Power Distribution
Emergency Generator Plants and UPS Systems
Fire Pump and Fire Alarm Systems
HVAC and other facility management systems
Water-Cooled Chillers, Cooling Towers, and Chilled Water Distribution
Building Management Systems (BMS) operation and troubleshooting
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts or with short notice and be on call 24/7
Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT and Monroe, CT as needed
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be 18 years or older
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite

Preferred

Associate's degree, Technical Degree, or completion of a recognized trade school program
Demonstrated equivalent experience in the maintenance and repair of the specified systems
