Mental Health Professional I - Vocational Counselor (Charleston)

Responsibilities
Provide quality person centered care-requires both emergent and nonemergent, community outreach and clinic support services. Provide therapy as well as vocational counseling and job placement and patients of the CDMHC while adhering to the IPS fidelity model
Perform functions of this position in an efficient manner as measured by PCH. Will collaborate with community partners, specialty courts (Probate and Mental Health Court), and law enforcement to support our patient's population and address barriers to access treatment
Documentation is reflective of quality-of-care expectation (Collaborative Documentation) will be trained and adhere to the IPS fidelity model
Collaboration and teamwork - This position also assists with crisis intervention and prevention and provides clinical assessments and emergent interventions to those individuals living with mental illness in both Charleston and Dorchester counties
Ensure patient functionality is measured by DLA 20 as required
Retain overall responsibility for meeting QA standards
Comply with all CDMHC/OMH Corporate Compliance, Cultural Competency policies and procedures and Federal and State rules and regulations and attends all trainings classified mandatory by Federal and State regulations and Center policy
This position requires general and complex physical and clinical duties under a Clinicians supervision. The ability to lift up to fifty pounds, ability to stand, walk, reach, pull, push, stoop, bend, climb at least two or three flights of stairs and ability to tolerate noise level and circulate in patient areas such as encampments, community centers, hospitals for long periods of time
Qualification
Required
A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field
Evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care, which may be documented as a practicum or internship during graduate program, or post-graduate clinical experience
The ability to lift up to fifty pounds, ability to stand, walk, reach, pull, push, stoop, bend, climb at least two or three flights of stairs and ability to tolerate noise level and circulate in patient areas such as encampments, community centers, hospitals for long periods of time
This position is considered essential and may require reporting for duty in the event of weather or similar emergency events
Preferred
A Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling or other behavioral discipline deemed equivalent by SCOMH
