AWT Labels & Packaging is a leading manufacturer of custom labels and flexible packaging solutions. They are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee Second Shift and 3/2 Night Shift operations, providing leadership and technical expertise in flexographic printing to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety rules are followed and actively participate in safety initiatives
Provide work direction, coaching, and training for all shift employees
Troubleshoot press defects and train operators on problem-solving techniques
Serve as backup press operator when needed
Oversee adhesive laminating and slitting processes
Approve job setups and monitor quality throughout the shift
Optimize staffing and workflow for efficiency
Maintain plant organization and cleanliness
Ensure preventative maintenance and address equipment breakdowns promptly
Enforce compliance with food safety policies and ISO procedures
Drive continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Hold accountability for shift performance, including time and material usage

Qualification

Required

Flexographic press expertise is a must
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in a print/manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and training skills; ability to lead by example
Hands-on approach with ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred

Vocational/technical training preferred
