Responsibilities
Compile fixtures/ work holding for demo’s, test cuts, and turnkeys
Manage showroom equipment, set up demos for customer visits
Assist sales team with technical presentations, machine selection, joint sales calls at customer
Conduct time study estimates for customer parts
Calculation of optimal speeds and feeds for part processing
Use industry standard CAM systems, G-Code/ Macro programming to generate programs. Esprit experience is a plus
Inspection of finished parts for quality and accuracy
Effective communication with internal staff, customers, and suppliers
Provide technical phone and email support for customers
Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposals
Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC mills and lathes
Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company
Qualification
Required
2-5 years of work experience on the operation and setup of CNC machine tools
Must be personable and customer/sales oriented
Must have an open mind and attitude to listen then reassure and ultimately help a customer
Must have strong communication/ verbal skills including ability to make and write clear and concise reports with a recommended action plan
Must be capable of thinking through a problem and then resolve independently
Must be mechanically inclined/ hands on type individual that enjoys working on machinery/ equipment
Willing to travel and to keep a flexible schedule, and also adaptable as projects/ priorities change
Experience with CAD/CAM and EIA/ISO (G-code) programming skills (Ex: Mastercam, Gibbs, Esprit, Fusion 360)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically strong in Excel
Knowledge of metal cutting tooling and material grades
Will require practical part processing knowledge and machine tool experience
Preferred
Prior experience with programming and operation of Swiss style machines would be beneficial
