Bankruptcy, Associate Attorney
Albertelli Law (ALAW) is an established, multi-state real estate and creditor’s rights law firm seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its national bankruptcy practice. The role involves representing creditors in federal bankruptcy court and managing a substantial caseload while ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Responsibilities
Drafting motions for relief from the automatic stay
Preparing and defending secured creditor proofs of claims
Defending motions to value
Drafting any other pleadings to protect the interests of a creditor during the bankruptcy process
Certify and ensure that the Firm’s systems of record are updated timely and accurately to thoroughly archive important dates, communications, milestones, and results
Work collaboratively with attorneys, support staff, and other firm members
Qualification
Required
Appropriate credentials for representation of creditors in federal bankruptcy court
Ability to perform tasks including but not limited to: drafting motions for relief from the automatic stay, preparing and defending secured creditor proofs of claims, defending motions to value, and drafting any other pleadings to protect the interests of a creditor during the bankruptcy process
Strong leadership skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner
Value reputation and proactively develop relationships in the industry to be viewed as a trusted partner and advisor by both clients and colleagues
Ability to certify and ensure that the Firm's systems of record are updated timely and accurately to thoroughly archive important dates, communications, milestones, and results
Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, support staff, and other firm members
Bar License in the state of New York (Required)
Preferred
More than eight (8) years of experience in civil litigation, real estate, and/or other equivalent experience representing servicers and financial institutions
Working knowledge of TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA
Experience in appellate practice
