Responsibilities
Own the health and evolution of Payments testing and staging ecosystems
Lead complex incident triage and guide cross-team mitigation in test environments
Set technical direction for test process, test infrastructure, data strategy, and observability
Partner with senior engineers, QE, and Infra on org-wide reliability initiatives
Mentor engineers and raise the bar for Payments quality
Qualification
Required
7+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced, high-scale environment
Strong coding skills in Java, Python, or Scala
Proven experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems end to end
Deep understanding of debugging complex production and non-production failures
Strong sense of ownership for availability, reliability, and system correctness
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Experience building testing infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and testing environments
Hands-on experience with distributed storage systems (MySQL, TiDB/CockroachDB, Redis, etc.)
Familiarity with AWS and large-scale cloud deployments
Preferred
Experience with payments, financial systems, or regulated environments
