Field Finance Manager
Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing aid to those in need. The Field Finance Manager will oversee financial operations for disaster response and rebuild efforts, ensuring compliance with policies while providing guidance and training to finance staff in dynamic field environments.

Responsibilities
Supervise Finance Coordinators and Specialists as assigned
Develop and implement training programs for Samaritans Purse staff regarding financial policies, procedures, and operational guidelines for mostly domestic operations
Assist in the design and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems at headquarters and in the field
Identify areas of improvement. Develop, implement, monitor, and assess financial policies, procedures, systems, and operating guidelines for North American Disaster Response and Rebuild operations
Travel to field sites as needed for temporarily assigned field responsibility, to ensure proper accounting, to perform informal audits, to consult with, advise, and train every level of management and finance staff on field finance matters, or to perform other work assigned
Monitors the financial function of field operations to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures of Samaritans Purse and funding agencies
Collaborate with North American Disaster Relief and Rebuild staff to ensure project budgets, modifications, reports, and invoices are reviewed
Maintain a thorough knowledge of North American Disaster Response and Rebuild financial operations and activities in order to respond to general inquiries
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with ERP implementation, with familiarity with PeopleSoft preferred
Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as award documents and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups
Ability to calculate, present, and analyze financial information
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Fluency in English (required)
Travel expectations: 60-70 days/annually; required travel documents. Vaccinations for entry into foreign countries may be necessary
Preferred
Experience with ERP implementation, with familiarity with PeopleSoft preferred
A CPA or an MBA is beneficial, but not required
Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies strongly preferred
