Responsibilities
Leading the design and implementation of an enterprise-level “hub” that centrally coordinates international regulatory activity and ensures connectivity with the enterprise, including the establishment and maintenance of standardized routines, workflows, and governance structures
Applying a working knowledge of international regulatory landscapes to guide the program's development and ensure the hub is prepared for evolving global requirements
Connecting dots across regulatory interactions and driving internal awareness among the Regulatory Affairs team and business leadership across the enterprise, of focus areas and potential sensitivities to minimize regulatory risk, and ensuring the enterprise is meeting expectations set forth by law, regulation, and agency guidance
Leading the coordination of timely and accurate responses to inquiries, requests, and reporting requirements issued by non-US regulatory bodies, ensuring enterprise consistency
Coordinating regulatory reporting and key updates for senior management, synthesizing complex international regulatory developments into clear, concise, and actionable summaries
Monitoring remediation efforts and corrective actions to ensure that they are on track for appropriate and timely mitigation
Participating in and supporting policy-making advocacy activities with respect to banking and regulatory-related matters
Qualification
Required
At least 7 years of experience working with regulatory agencies, financial services institutions, consulting, or a combination
Understand the international regulatory environment and relevant financial services regulatory agencies
Closely follow regulatory policy and related developments in banking and financial services, particularly internationally
Are excited to influence regional and global business strategy through subject matter expertise in regulatory policy and deep relationships with regulators
Understand risk management practices as it relates to financial services, and specifically across the payments lifecycle
Enjoy interacting with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization and globe
Possess strong critical thinking, written, and verbal communication skills
Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities often change
Are flexible to travel and work across a variety of time zones
Preferred
8+ years of experience working with non-U.S. regulatory agencies and regulatory policy internationally, with direct regulatory experience and a deep understanding of regional financial regulations and policies
8+ years of experience working with financial services institutions, consulting, or a combination
8+ years of experience supporting integrated projects or programs where both internal senior leaders and external stakeholders are your customers
8+ years of experience working as a government official or for a regulatory body
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
