Post Doctoral Scholar - Physiology & Cell Biology

Responsibilities
Pursue specialized research training, education and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor
Plans, designs and executes experiments of considerable scope and complexity
Collects and analyzes data for research sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH), as well as by other agencies
Identifies and selects problems to be studied
Develops and troubleshoots new experimental techniques and protocols
Attends research seminars
Contributes to manuscript preparation and supports technical writing
Participates in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding
Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree in a biological or health sciences field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Preferred
experience in molecular biology techniques
cell signaling pathways
prior training in biochemistry
cellular and molecular biology
scientific publication record
