Electrical Project Manager
Recruiting USA is seeking an Electrical Project Manager responsible for the complete management of assigned electrical construction projects. This role oversees planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and client coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
Manage electrical construction projects from inception to completion
Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and aligned with contract requirements
Develop and define project scopes, objectives, and detailed project plans
Coordinate resource allocation, material procurement, and subcontractor/vendor activities
Monitor project progress using scheduling tools, reporting systems, and performance metrics
Oversee the submittal, RFI, and change order process; negotiate change orders with clients
Perform risk assessments and implement strategies to minimize project risks
Ensure timely monthly billing and manage project cash flow
Provide clear reporting to senior management, including job projections and cost analyses
Maintain documentation including schedules, budgets, and safety compliance
Work closely with field supervisors and foremen to resolve daily project challenges
Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and vendors
Support compliance with M/W/DBE requirements and safety documentation
Collaborate with engineering/CAD teams to develop shop drawings as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline; equivalent industry experience considered
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in electrical contracting
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in project management and document control software; experience with tools such as Procore, Vista, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lead teams, build cooperative relationships, and resolve conflicts effectively
Willingness to travel to job sites and conduct on-site progress reviews
Commitment to honesty, integrity, and professional excellence
Must be in Local Union 3
Preferred
Familiarity with public works contracts and agencies (e.g., DOT, MTA, DEP, etc.) preferred
