Vice President, Technology, Media, & Telecom
ING Americas is part of ING’s Wholesale Banking division, offering innovative financial products and services to corporate and institutional clients. The Vice President will manage a portfolio of large companies within the Technology, Media, and Telecom sectors, focusing on developing relationships and identifying commercial opportunities for new business.
Responsibilities
Identifying commercial opportunities for new business, including cross selling of ING’s products globally, in close cooperation with various product teams
Identifying and analyzing potential prospect clients, within set growth and portfolio parameters
Presenting transactions to regional commercial committees
Supporting the PAM in client meetings and preparation of comprehensive marketing presentations
Coordinate annual credit review of client relationships including identifying and analyzing key credit issues related to a transaction / client
Proposing and reviewing terms and conditions for transactions / RFP’s, including pricing, structure and covenants
Assure clients are properly managed from a compliance standpoint with valid KYCs and assist compliance consultants and the team junior resources with customer outreach
Participating in client visits, requiring traveling across the U.S. and occasionally in Europe
Qualification
Required
Strong academic track record with Undergraduate or Masters from accredited university/ college
A minimum of 10 years of banking experience, ideally in client relationship management, financial advisory, corporate/-structured/-acquisition/-syndicated lending and/or an event finance
Strong credit analysis background, basic knowledge of credit structuring preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be highly detail-oriented and accurate
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint): must have advanced excel skills and be able to use financial debt models
Fundamental understanding of GAAP accounting principles and comfort with core financial statements (Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet)
Fundamental understanding of key financial markets and products
Basic understanding of Loan documentation as well as corporate and bankruptcy law
Product knowledge including Debt Capital Markets, Transaction Services Products and Corporate Derivatives
A strong understanding of ING's commercial banking platform and international network
Willingness to complete the FINRA Series 79 and 63 exams
Team Player, self-motivated and proactive, and able to travel
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Math
4+ years of relevant project/corporate finance experience, ideally in the North American TMT/ digital infrastructure industry

SIE, Series 79/63 are required
