Business Development Manager – Air & Ocean Freight
Raynes is a well-established global logistics provider seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Air and Ocean freight. The role focuses on developing long-term partnerships and delivering tailored supply-chain solutions in a consultative sales environment.
Responsibilities
Drive new business development across Air & Ocean freight services
Build and grow long-term customer relationships across key industry verticals
Develop strategic account plans and increase wallet share within existing customers
Partner closely with pricing, operations, and procurement teams to deliver competitive, solutions-led proposals
Manage complex sales cycles and negotiate commercial agreements
Represent the business professionally within the local and regional market
Qualification
Required
Proven success in freight forwarding business development
Strong exposure to Air freight and Ocean freight (both import & export)
Consultative, solution-led sales approach with a relationship-first mindset
Comfortable managing mid-to-large accounts and long sales cycles
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of US trade lanes
Based in, or able to commute to, Houston or a major East Coast logistics hub
