Administrative Assistant
Giles Engineering Associates, Inc is a family-owned company with a history of strong employee support and development. They are seeking an Administrative Assistant to facilitate the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing various clerical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Assist the senior administrative staff with data entry and report editing
Managing multiple deadlines and maintaining filing systems as assigned
Make edits for formatting, clarity, punctuation, grammar, and structure of reports and proposals to company standards
Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions
Retrieves information as requested from records, emails, and other related documents
Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary
Welcomes and directs visitors and clients
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to work independently
Self-motivated, driven, and positive personality, with a great work ethic
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Microsoft Word (35 WPM)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Three to five years of experience in an administrative role
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times
Preferred
Associate degree
Experience in Geotechnical, Environmental, or Construction Materials Testing
