SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER

Responsibilities
As Division Chief, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Division
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with MAJCOM A4/A6 Directors and their support staff, Wing leadership, maintenance and communication group and squadron commanders, and Air Staff Headquarters; AF working groups; other federal, agencies; union representatives; community groups; etc
Provides technical advice to ACC Director of Logistics (A4) and Director of Communications (A6) and other MACOMS supported on ETS specific requirements
Provides management and fiscal oversight for current and projected financial budget and manpower requirements to meet CAF ETS obligations

This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
This is a Supervisory Position. A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to a wide variety of complex aircraft, communication, and logistic system's technologies and their role within the CAF
Expert knowledge of applied logistics program management principles, procedures, techniques and practices as well as local techniques, processes, and procedures used in support of logistic system's sustainment and modifications
Knowledge and skill to apply advanced methods and techniques to analyze difficult and complex logistic/technical problems/issues and determine alternative courses of action for programs and projects
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of subordinate organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy
Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations, and to recommend timely and economical solutions
