Aerospace Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead root cause analysis, facilitate corrective actions, and implement process controls to improve product/process predictability and capability
Lead Material Review Board (MRB)
Support Quality Management System (QMS) execution and implementation
Perform internal audits in alignment with QMS procedures
Review and approve changes to the technical data package, assign actions when necessary, and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned. This includes but is not limited to: Peer reviews, Engineering Review/Change Control Board and/or Design reviews
Implement and support product quality strategies using methodologies such as Six-Sigma, Lean, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Support, monitor and track execution of First Article Inspections for both supplier and factory parts
Support, monitor and track certification of special processes for supplier parts
Develop standard operating procedures within department
Other duties as assigned

Required

0-2 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Working experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Working experience in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner or develop alternative solutions
Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programs and Windows operating system
Ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced growing and dynamic business
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Extended screen time
Long periods of sitting
Potentially long hours
