Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business objectives (brand awareness, pipeline influence, thought leadership, employer branding)
Act as a consultant to Product Marketing and Demand Gen to ensure product launches and events are supported by engagement-led tactics (e.g., interactive polls or 'behind-the-scenes' at shows) rather than just 'bulletin board' announcements
Own the social calendar across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, and emerging platforms, balancing always-on content with campaign moments
Set and track KPIs that matter - engagement rate of target audience, share of voice vs. competitors, audience growth (quality over vanity metrics), content performance, and pipeline influence
Conduct competitive analysis and social listening to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the identity security landscape
Collaborate with Demand Generation to align paid social strategies with organic content for maximum impact
Present monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations to leadership
Write high-quality social copy that is clear, compelling, and on-brand, adapting tone and style for each platform and audience
Create and edit multimedia content including static graphics, short-form video (reels, shorts, TikToks), carousels, infographics, GIFs
Repurpose long-form content (blogs, podcasts, webinars, events) into snackable, shareable social assets
Ghostwrite social content for executives (CEO, CMO, product leaders) that builds their personal brands as thought leaders
Develop creative campaign concepts that are bold, unexpected, and shareable (think Wiz-style activations)
Build on and further develop a comprehensive employee advocacy program
Create toolkits that make it easy for employees to share company news, thought leadership, and culture content
Recruit and activate brand ambassadors across departments - sales, customer success, product, engineering
Provide training on personal branding and effective social sharing
Track and report on program participation, reach, and engagement
Celebrate and incentivize top contributors to build momentum and participation
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in real-time with thoughtfulness and brand voice
Proactively engage with CISOs, security leaders, industry influencers, analysts, and partners, building relationships, not just broadcasting
Identify and activate brand advocates - customers, employees, industry voices
Manage crises or negative sentiment with professionalism and escalate appropriately
Foster community by creating opportunities for dialogue, not just one-way communication
Partner with PR to build the brand, amplify media coverage, exec interviews, and announcements
Work with Creative to ensure visual assets are on-brand and platform-optimized
Coordinate with Demand Gen and Content Marketing to align editorial calendars and amplify thought leadership
Support employer branding initiatives, working with HR/Recruiting to showcase culture and attract talent
Be service-oriented by building strong relationships across Marketing and the broader organization; you're an enabler, not a gatekeeper
Audit existing social presence and develop FY26 strategy with platform-specific tactics including YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Reddit
Increase engagement rate by 30% on LinkedIn
Work with PR agency to launch executive thought leadership program
Design and implement employee social advocacy program with 50+ active participants
Create and execute 1-2 social campaigns tied to major company announcements
Establish social reporting dashboard with KPIs aligned to business goals
Demonstrate platform expertise by implementing at least 2 new features or formats (e.g., strategic changes based on LinkedIn Brew 360, YouTube Shorts series, etc.)

Qualification
Required
5+ Years in Social Media/Digital Marketing: Proven experience managing high-growth brands, preferably in B2B Tech, SaaS, or Cybersecurity
A portfolio showcasing bold, creative campaign concepts that break through the 'boring B2B' noise. You have a history of taking technical subjects and making them 'scroll-stopping.'
Experience working directly with C-Suite leaders to craft their voice and build their personal brands on LinkedIn and X
Demonstrated success in moving beyond 'vanity metrics' (likes/follows) to drive pipeline influence and high-value engagement with C-level stakeholders
Identity Security Knowledge: You aren't just a 'poster.' You understand (or can quickly learn) the nuances of IAM, IGA, Zero Trust, and Cloud Security. You can speak the language of a CISO without sounding like a bot
Advanced knowledge of LinkedIn (including Sales Navigator and Elevate), X/Twitter, YouTube (SEO and Shorts), and Reddit. You stay ahead of algorithm shifts and 'new-to-market' features
Expert-level experience with social suites (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Sprinklr), employee advocacy platforms (e.g., GaggleAMP, EveryoneSocial), and social listening tools
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere/After Effects) or Canva/CapCut to quickly turn a podcast clip or a whiteboard session into a high-quality video or carousel
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to pivot between a punchy, witty tone for X and a professional, authoritative tone for LinkedIn
A proven ability to take a 45-minute technical webinar and extract 5-7 pieces of high-value social content
You are a 'consultant' by nature. You can push back on a 'bulletin board' request from Product Marketing and suggest a more engaging, social-first alternative
Experience working in the 'Marketing Matrix'—collaborating seamlessly with PR, Demand Gen, and Creative teams
A cool head under pressure, with the judgment to handle negative sentiment or security-related discussions with professionalism
Preferred
Previous experience in a Pre-IPO or high-growth Cybersecurity startup
A personal social media presence or side project that demonstrates your passion for digital storytelling
Experience with Paid Social coordination (aligning organic 'winners' with paid spend)
