Responsibilities

Handle high-volume inbound calls (60-70 daily), assisting members with account inquiries, transactions, and maintenance
Process payments, transfers, stop payments, wires, check orders, and account changes; verify identity and resolve issues
Troubleshoot online banking and support debit/credit cards, fraud, and bill pay
Open and service new accounts (checking, CDs, money markets, IRAs); verify eligibility via ChexSystems and OFAC, partnering with BSA as needed
Maintain professional phone etiquette while meeting call metrics, including hold times and call abandonment
Promote credit union products through effective cross-selling and referrals, including checking, loans, mortgage, and investment services
Utilize CRM daily to manage leads, referrals, and member data while maximizing service opportunities

Required

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and one year of banking or call center experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Responsible for achieving personal sales and service goals
Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for members and employees consistent with the Credit Union's mission and philosophy
Manage a working knowledge of computer equipment and software required including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
