Responsibilities
Draft, negotiate, and manage execution of a wide array of commercial agreements, including endorsement agreements, independent contractor agreements, modeling agency contracts, partnership arrangements, and vendor/supplier agreements
Coordinate with legal support staff to ensure proper execution and storage of all contracts
Partner with business teams to identify legal requirements in new jurisdictions
Assist with entity formation and liaise with local counsel as needed
Work with internal teams to develop, implement, and review company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards and industry best practices
Ensure all contracts and legal documents align with internal processes and legal requirements
Work closely with procurement, finance, creative, marketing, and other business partners to address contract-related questions and provide strategic guidance
Oversee relationships with external legal service providers and ensure service quality and consistency with company expectations
Support various Legal Department projects as needed
Proactively expand expertise in new subject areas as the business continues to grow
Qualification
Required
J.D. from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials
Minimum of five years of transactional experience, including big law and in-house background
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
Ability to explain legal concepts in clear, accessible terms to non-legal teams
Willingness to take initiative and work flexible hours as needed
Preferred
Admission to the California Bar preferred
Experience in retail or e-commerce is a plus
